The star of the show is the DC powered Dual Control Wrapping/Finishing Motor that is variable speed (40-680RPM), reversible, includes a foot control, adjustable slip clutch and height adjustments between 5 1/4” to 7 3/8”. Whether wrapping or finishing, the 3 roller supports (1 w/ Tite Tip configuration) are slot mounted and can be set in the desired location to support the rod while the thread tension control board (now with 4 thread spools and tension devices) or finishing steady rest freely slide up or down your rod without obstruction. No juggling with upright supports while working down the rod. The base alignment board is available at 11” wide and 93.5” long or two 46” long pieces, extensions are available. This wrapper should be called the “OMG” because it’s that good. I wrap heavy to medium offshore rod blanks in which this “Power Wrapping / Finishing Machine” makes short work of them. I have even done medium/light action Redfish rods. The drying option is my new go to…getting better then ever results combined with watching “Catch the Wave” YouTube video. FlexCoat. Hits another grand slam with this new “Power Wrapping / Finishing Machine” it’s the last wrapper you will ever need.

The machine is awesome and performs as advertised. Quality made and eliminates the need for separate machines (wrapper and finishing). Clutch works great Would be great if it came with a 4th support wheel assembly. Also, I build ultra-light rods so it would be helpful if the o-rings on the support wheel assembly were a larger diameter so the rod tip area would rest properly on the wheel assembly. I’m really impressed with the machine…Great job Flex-coat!

I have been wrapping with a hand wrapper and finishing with a 9rpm finishing motor without a clutch. When I watched the “Catch the Wave” video, I realized I have been finishing the wrong way! We ordered it and I could hardly wait for it to arrive. Not only is it incredible for finishing but helps to speed up the guide wraps. Even with just using the clutch to turn it, it is way faster than the standard hand wrapper. This machine simply makes building rods faster and easier!

I built my manual rod table used furniture casters on a four by four block they were on the top with a velcro strap to hold the blank got a micro wave turn table motor for finish apply flex coat brand back then it took hours to install guides hated doing micro on the small end now get the blank handle and reel seat on dry fit and load the blank get on the wrapper get the foot pedal where you want select the max rpm on the control box start your wrap get the rpm with the foot pedal if you want an accent color wrap you can go slow enough to count the guide going around get all wrapped check the straightness of guides mix your flex coat thread finish and cover with finish rpm does make a big difference on epoxy apply wish i would have bought this years ago when the phrase of dinner ready and i am winding guides let it sit and resume play bought it at the winston salem rod expo from hff rods they were doing demos at the show and send it what a machine i ordered more blanks and parts to build them game changer
